Weekend Warriors- Part 2

Continuing our long list of jobs we cleaned and installed the air conditioner, added the molding for attaching the canvas, cleaned and hung the canvas and the door. The big stuff is now complete.

Weekend Warriors- Part 1

We had plans to get a lot done this weekend. Mission accomplished!
We have little things to finish but all the big construction stuff is finally done.
Taped and applied the weatherproof sealer on the roof, removed the decals and painted the outside.
Brenda is amazing with the detail work and Charlie paints... well more than just the camper but he is a cute helper if he doesn't "do" a lot.

New Roof

Our vacation and a busy life stalled our progress for a little while but we spent some time this weekend finishing the roof before we fix the roof outside and then paint the entire thing. My right-hand man was a big help. We replaced the old brackets that were bent with a single bolt system that is a lot stronger. 

 

Raise the Roof

The guys at church helped me "raise the roof"! A few adjustments and rain proofing need to be done but it's up. Thanks guys.

Roof Rebuilt

Of course on one of the hottest days of the year we decide to do the rebuild of the roof. My wife and mother-in-law ran around for supplies for me and then along with Andrew and Rob they all helped me. I couldn't have done it without them. From a wet and falling apart roof we built new, sides and reconstructed the entire ceiling. I don't know how we will actually move it but it's built.

Roof Disaster!

It looked like the roof was caving in more and more so we decided to remove the first layer to give it a smooth look. We found that every inch of the roof was wet and even the sides were like wet sawdust. We are now forced to replace the entire roof. We took the canvas down, removed the AC and completely removed the roof to start rebuilding it.
